The SB304 study committee was created by the passage of Senate Bill 304 during the 2003 Montana legislative session. An interim committee appointed by the legislature, Governor Martz and the State Auditor is charged to look at the role of Montana State Fund, the feasibility of selling all or part of the fund, and also study the creation of an assigned risk pool mechanism. This process will go on over the next year and result in a report that will be delivered to the Legislature during the next regularly scheduled legislative session in 2005.
